What's your hairdressing background? Before starting at Karen's I was always well known for having mad colourful hair, now I've been here for nearly 3 years and its just getting even wilder ha-ha! Started with Karen when i was 15 just leaving school, and qualified when i was 17!

What inspired you to get into hairdressing? Myself, I'm very "creative" and want to express that :)

What's your most memorable hairdressing story? Cutting a big ginger wig for someone at Halloween and gluing foamy flowers in it , he was going as Linda from Gimme Gimme Gimme. Also when i won an award for having the most "potential to succeed in hairdressing" that was pretty awesome.

What do you like most about the job? The friendly atmosphere and how you can chat about almost anything with clients!

What's your vision/ambition for the future? To get into the fashion side of hairdressing, creating looks for the future.

What's your hairdressing background? Started hairdressing at 16 with a reputable salon in dundee and worked my way up to manager; have gathered numerous diploma's over the years and have been in the company of many famous hairdresser,s which inspired me to go it alone. Have now ran a successful salon for 13 yrs . Starting with a small salon of 3 staff to now having 11 staff an large salon.

What inspired you to get into hairdressing? Going to a salon with my mum as a child i just loved the buzz of a busy salon.

Who/what's your biggest inspiration/influence in hairdressing? Toni and Guy, Patrick Cameron, Beverly Cobella, Trevor Sorbie.

What's your most memorable hairdressing story? Seeing Trevor Sorbie and him telling a story about his 1st hair-up that was a disaster, it made me realise he wasn't perfect after all and totally inspired me!!!

What do you like most about the job? Cutting and blowdrying making a client feel great about themself with a new look or image.
